Friday, July 3 - Rock Climbing Full OR Half Day – all levels
If you are a novice climber or a veteran, Acadia National Park offers some of the best rock climbing and scenery in New England. The coast is delightfully rugged and rocky. America has too few spots to climb near the sea on the East Coast, but Acadia does its best to make up for the lack of venues. The occasional foghorn and crashing waves make great background noise to an abundance of exciting climbs!
It will be your choice on a full day or half day of rock climbing. From beginner to advanced, all levels are welcome. If you choose the half- day, you can use the afternoon to your leisure by exploring Bar Harbor or an afternoon of whale watching.

Saturday, July 4- Bicycle Ride OR Advanced Rock Climbing in the morning / Kayaking in the afternoon
Today is a double dose of activity! In the morning you will have a choice of bike riding or rock climbing again at a more challenging level. In the afternoon we will all kayak for a 3hr. adventure to the Porcupine Islands. What ever you choose, it will be a sure way of starting off the 4th of July!
There's no better way to experience Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island, Maine, than by bicycling. This morning we will go for a moderate half-day bicycle ride around the harbor and seashore, enjoying the beautiful scenery Acadia has to offer.
You may also choose advanced rock climbing. This would be at higher elevations and more dramatic views of the water and park.
For lunch we’ll stop at the July 4th Seafood festival to indulge on Lobster and other tasty treats!
In the afternoon is we’ll explore the waters off the shores of Bar Harbor on sea kayak. We’ll paddle around the Porcupine Islands in Frenchman's Bay. Harbor seals, bald eagles and guillemots are common sightings. The views of Acadia National Park from the waters of Frenchman Bay are incredible. The Porcupine Islands vary from cobblestone beaches to sheer ledges.
In the evening after a hearty July 4th dinner, we will drive up to the summit of Cadillac Mountain to find a spot to watch the Bar Harbor Fireworks!
Sunday, July 5th – Drive back to NYC
We will have one last feast for breakfast before we head back to NYC.
Approximate arrival time: 9pm
